foodie friday: crispy oatmeal cookies

no movie is complete without snacks, don’t you agree? accompanying Trolljegeren tonight were crispy oatmeal cookies. simple and inexpensive to make.

CRISPY OATMEAL COOKIES
1/2 stick (1/4 c) melted butter
1/3 c brown sugar
1 large egg
1/2 t vanilla essence
1/4 t. almond essence

(stir together)

add 1 1/2 c oats
1/2 c chopped pecans

place them on a parchment lined cookie sheet, using a large teaspoon. flatten with the back of the spoon. bake at 180C for 14-16 minutes. they should be crispy and browned. cool completely on baking sheet.
