you never know what they’ll blow in, but the winter winds in these parts have blown in some pretty spectacular moments these past weeks. last week i joined an outreach team from denver in oslo (actually, i surprised them which was pretty much the highlight of my week!) where we ate out, were tourists, shopped, and my favorite – went to an iron and wine concert.
i love music! my parents met when my mother’s traveling singing group visited the church my dad attended and the rest is history. my sister was studying music in college when she met her husband, also a musician. i took piano for 10 years, voice lessons, and choir in college. although i am not a musician, i have an appreciation for music – the dedication is requires, the emotion and vulnerability and the way it speaks without saying much at all. i love concerts – seeing how the crowd responds to the music and how the performer feeds off that. all that to say, iron and wine did not disappoint.
